BMW Scanner 1.4.0
Hi can anyone tell me how to tun off the front PDCs with my scanner, what menu i go into i have been told its the ZKE menu but cant find any settings for the PDCs in there, >:(

I think it's int he coding data option or something like that in the ZKE.
If needed I'll plug mine in this evening to confirm.

Page 1 click on PDC then click on coding data then recoding,

Same problem , Yesterday I disarmed my front parking sensors 8 to 4 with my 1.4.0 scanner as I had a problem with a front sensor ,but now nothing is working and even the PDC switch won't work light up"
I thought you could disarm the front and just use the rear ?

You should be able to disable the fronts and I'm sure some have done that when a front sensor is out.

i'm sure i've done this - change from 8 to 4 sensors and the fronts go off..

I've been told to disconnect the blue plug from the PDC control unit in the boot then to alter settings with my scanner from 8 to 4 sensors once done
connect back the blue plug that should have turned off the front sensors ,
Will give it a go a the weekend ,

Jamee your sensors are supposed to click. That is one of the ways to check they are working correctly.
2004 54 plate 4.8is X5 E53 facelift in Carbonswarz-metalic.

I know, but none of them actually work front or back when reversing or parking.

Jamee have you tried cleaning the sensors, i had this problem when i bought my car and i cleaned the sensors with a clay bar and they were fine after that. I was advised to try this by another forum as you can get a build up of road film/wax/polish, i thought the guy was mental when he suggested it but it worked for me.
