Issues...I need help

Post by Buz007 » Mon Feb 09, 2015 10:57 pm

Right I've owed the X5 for a couple of weeks now and it's bloody great. However 2 things are bugging me.

1. The PDC on the near side front corner seems to think I'm really close to something as soon as I put it in reverse. Constant beep and is very annoying, tried cleaning he sensor but that's the end of my expertise I'm afraid! And ideas?
2. The front headlights look quite 'misty' is this normal? Are they straightforward to remove? Is it recommended?

Cheers in advance for any help!

Welcome.

There are lots of posts on pdc problems.
Please search on here first..

Headlights can be 'repaired' and buffed up, again there are posts on here for that too.
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

I concur with Steamrotters reply and would add that the buffing of the lenses is do able but depends on your own ability.  There was a very good step by step post sometime back showing excellent results but I probably wouldn't have done the job myself without help from someone with mechanical knowledge/skills.
