Interior trim preferences
What are folks opinions on the interior trim choices available. I have the light brown wood trim which is my least favourite of the options. Is there a generally recognised favourite or least favourite? My first choice would generally be the piano black wood i suppose!

Re: Interior trim preferences
Personally I can't abide woodgrain in modern cars unless it's a Roller or you've reached the end of your days and want a Jag.
My previous 2 BMWs had Piano Black (which is an Individual and expensive option) and the one before that had the carbon effect trim; the 50d has the M specific silver ally thingamajig trim.

My preference is my lovely AC Schnitzer CF trim.

Just had a look on the net and the AC Schnitzer trim is about £1500! Is your x5 an AC Schnitzer or did you add the bits afterwards? Certainly seems a well loaded car!

Re: Interior trim preferences
I had Dark Poplar on the E53 and have Dark Bamboo on the X6. As with all these things it's a personal preference. I can't abide the Aly trim or the piano black - it makes it look like another Ford. They're full of silver or shiny black plastic....
There are those that like, and those that don't......each to their own.

Added the trim as well as plenty of other bits too myself.

Re: Interior trim preferences
Mine is silver cant remember the official trim name now but I like paino black. Wood a bit OAP for my liking albeit the dark wood better to my eye than light poplar or whatever its called.
