Door rubbing strips
This is an odd one. Has anyone removed the thin door rubber bump strips and cleaned up the paint? I'm wondering if it would look a bit more modern or at least different. I can't find any photos online.

If you remove them I think you may find they the are fixed with grommets through the door skin so you will be left with holes .....they were on my e38 7 series.
