Does anyone know how to do this on 2004 e53 3.0d auto

Ok so im removing the fan blower vents on the dash for cleaning/detailing purposes. Either side pops out with a little bit of force and a plastic trim remover, but the large centre one is not coming out. The lower front is covered slightly by the radio trim but I dont believe you need to remove the radio to get it out. I recall a long time ago, about six or so years, reading a post that says you need a special bmw tool but cannot see that. Do I need a special tool or should I persevere and just order a large can of BruteForce and just go for it?

Just watched a video on taking it out but it was on an e39.
I have also taken the one out of my e46 and both are the same.
Just pull out nothing holding them in so i would think the x5 would be the same.
Don't worry about denting the dash it will come back into shape on it's own but try not to dent it too much if you get what i am saying.
