Heater fan noise

Post by AHG21 » Thu Jan 15, 2015 7:45 pm

Help please, the heater fan makes a grinding/seizing noise when it's at top speed,,if you bring the speed down it dies off a bit take it back up to top speed the noise comes back, also it seems to be pushing very little air out of the vents ? Is this a big job to replace ? And how much is a new one ?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I've got heater fan noise but it's more of a stuck valve, pulsating noise or humming

It stops if I turn the temp down, does yours stop depending on temperature setting?

Hi, Celica mine has been cured now it was the actual blower fan which is sited up under the passenger side footwell a half hour job done under warrenty the old fan was partially worn on the spindle new fan spun round with no drag, now no noise, I think most of the heater elements pulse there are a few threads on the forum about it, good luck with it Celica.
