Bodywork warranty

Hi just been cleaning my new X5 and noticed by chance that the inside of the lower tail gate has rust bubbling through, I only found it when cleaning the plastic tailgate cover. My car is a June 06 model, should this be covered under the bodywork warranty?? I'm presuming it is 10 years.
The car has FBMWSH and 82k miles and had it's last service 2 months ago with the bodywork inspection ticked as checked!!!
Anyone got an opinion before I head off to the dealer, would like to be armed with a bit of info
