My hunt has come to an end!

I've done it! Picked up my dream car last night and I cannot stop thinking about it!

As you may have noticed, I didn't waste any time changing my profile signature  O:-)

4 Hours journey, topped up £40 diesel (making sure 10 times i've picked up the right nozzle) which gave me half tank. I drove 150 miles and still have quarter tank of fuel left! I'm amazed at how eco this is, compared to my 320i auto!!!

She came equipped with a Parrot mki9200 which allows me to play music through my bluetooth, iPod, Aux and USB. This feature is pretty neat and may not change the OEM headunit for an aftermarket once, like I planned at first.  :))
Didnt come with TV, but what the hell anyway. Dont think i've ever watch telly on my 3 series either.

Insurance quoted me a very shocking £15 extra a month
Tracker fitted and now just to get the parking permit from the local authority  :boom:

She is very dirty and I'm positive the car wash may charge me extra. Interior is clean, but I had to drive through muddy roads last night and it was wet. Good fun  ;D
Hill descent is a cool feature and had to use that too.

Next on my list-
Reverse Camera. Anyone know of any good cameras?
SATNAV with post code capability?

I will definately continue to make regular posts on this forum. You guys are amazing and your level of knowledge/kindness is paramount! I cannot express how pleased I am to have found xDrivers.

Will upload some pics when she's clean  :camera:

Hi AW8

Good point, however, I think the motor is in tip top condition. I will defo take it to my local reputable mechanic to have a quick look at it just to be on the safe side. The drive is so smooth and not a single knock or sound from any angle of the car. The owner was nice enough to leave the 7 digit DVD nav in the car, which he didnt tell me about  :))

Is there anything I should ask my mechanic to look at specifically?

Sounds good - I'm a new owner (1 day ahead of you!) and am well chuffed with the X.

So what model spec did you get then?

Took my car into the local mechanic, hes jealous and wants to buy one like mine.
He test drove it and said it's drives spot on. Checked under the hood and said i should change the oil.
What oil should i use?

In the early days (from original) they were quoted to want 0W30 and then Castrol and alike quoted 05W30 (including BMW)...

Oh and btw...

Mki9200 quality is very good. I plugged in my 16gb usb and was able to select playlists/folders and control everything with the steering wheel. Excellent device and very impressed!

It must have extra cabling to be able to integrate  into steering controls
