So my X5 sponsored by X5 drivers Forum goes in for a interior / exterior detail with detailmycar.co.uk on Wednesday. Quote currently sat at £350 plus £50 to remove 2 supermarket dents.

Currently my front right speaker is not working so have asked them to take a look at that also. But this leads me to my latest question.

The standard sound set-up in an X5 is pretty dire. If I kept the original COMMS PACK, would it be worth changing the speakers to BOSE for example?

Or to improve the sound, would I need to change the stereo? Not looking for loud sound, just want quality.

Read on a could of American sites that the X5 speakers are specific to the car and you cant change them for other makes. Any truth in this?
