self made airbag light

So I was having a play with the 140 software when I clicked the SRS menu, then programming, this lit up the airbag light on the dash, I thort oh well it will go off when I exit the menu and it never so I went for a 10mile drive and still its on bugger

Sorry to hear of this.

You need to sort that as airbag lights illuminated will fail MOT when new rules come in, (as will SES/CEL DSC/TCS etc). Bulbs that fail to illuminate on Key Pos 2 dash bulb test will also fail MOT afaik.

What about if you go back into the same menu to see if you can reset.

Yeh will have a play tonite, laptop went flat! Jst didn't know if anyone else had done it as it lit the seconond I clicked the srs menu then coding where you get the view of what options you can choose, serves me right for been nosy!

all done now :-) fully back off so be warned dont play with things like that on the scanner!!!

What did you need to do? Just so that others know how to dig their way out of the hole should it happen to them. Of course the adage - don't mess with it would always apply, but some of us (self-included) have the urge to find the answer to "I wonder what that button does....?" :oops: :? :D
