Don't tell me......when asked, the driver said 'Sorry mate, didn't see it there' :headbang: That was the excuse I got when the X6 was backed into on Xmas Eve. I mean, these cars aren't exactly small are they? OK, a Transit does win on the size stakes, but then it also has bigger mirrors too.

What a pain.

Not good.

Dented the panel around the repeater too. The rest looks possible to polish out but as you say, can't see that much detail with the pic. Do hope it can be sorted for minimum effort. I know this would upset me....

Don't be too hasty on spending for new paint.

Hard to advise properly without seeing the car but..............

By looks of photo I reckon that most of that might be able to be polished out. I say this because it looks more like red paint transfer &/or clearcoat scuff rather than being down to your metal or base coat.

This assuming the paint is not broken or metal sharply creased. The dent around the repeater may be able to be sorted by a paintless dent removal expert.............again if not broken/creased. The PDR guy should be able to get to this by removing the repeater and using the aperture as an access through which a PDR tool can be used to reshape the panel. If more access needed then it may be a case of inner arch &/or dor card off. Some PDR guys are more bold tha others. Finding a good one who doesn't rob you is very useful - even the most carefully parked daily drivers are quite likely to pick up odd marks over a significant time.

Obviously on top of that you need a new repeater.

Good Luck :)

yeh im just going to get the bodyshop to do it so i can get some other stonechips sorted at the same time, it has broke the paint it realy hasnt come out on the picture very well and ive also tried blue t-cut prior to pic but it never worked. o and the driver of the transit said he never saw it, but i saw him and he was reversing with his head out the drivers side window not looking in mirrors!! he probly would have drove off if i never saw him.
