Picking up a 40d on Wednesday from Rybrook

Sold my last X5 six months ago to buy a FF range rover , that lasted 3 months then bought a M2, now just chopped the M2 in to get back into a 40d M sport. I just dont think you can beat the X5!

Your 1st pic seems to show a slight reddish tinge to it like mine does in the sun so I’m guessing ruby red .  8)

Looks good and I guess you get used to how good an X5 is after all

Lovely car and great colour combo.

One thing that really bugs me and always lets all BMW’s down is the bloody steering wheel leather goes shined soooooo quickly  :'(

Is that due to cleaning though?  The leather on my E53 never went that way nor has it in the E71/46.  I don’t use anything on the wheel deliberately (as I hate the way it feels when cleaned with something).  Our F46 has an odd sort of finish.  Sort of matte but not alcantara - MSport wheel.

The wheel I have in my 50d is exactly the same as I had in my F10 M5.

20,000 miles and it’s shinyer than my head!

Clearly I have greasy hands!

You could try Mr Clean magic erasers  , an American product sold on eBay and demonstration videos on YouTube .
