MOT Fail - Rear Springs

My X3 failed its MOT today for a broken rear drivers spring and headlight aim too low.

I have sorted the headlight aim as I forgot when I fitted the angel eyes I was playing with the coding.

Now is it me are all garages taking the mick or is there a hard way too change a spring on an X3?
I have just done the drivers side rear (broken one) using a couple of jacks and a 18mm socket. It took me 35 minutes, I will be doing the passenger side tomorrow.

3 garages quoted me £300+ to supply and fit as they all said around 2 hours. I had some new uprated ones in my shed so decided to give it a go and for anyone else (which anyone with an E83 X3 will need to replace) do it yourself.
