Tyre pressures on 19's

Post by max » Wed Oct 12, 2011 10:44 pm

Hi guys

What tyre pressures do you run with the staggered 19" set up?
The door card seems to suggest 2.2bar (32psi) but even at 2.2 as suggested the tyres look slightly 'bulgy' at the bottom.
They are recent Mitchelin D's all round and they are not loosing any pressures.

Has anybody else found different pressures any better? And also by pumping up by a few psi would that lighten up the steering any bit? The mrs complains it feels a bit heavy and in fairness when I drive it, it does slightly feel heavy.

Cheers
Max

Hi,

32 is the correct figure all round. I have a slow puncture so have to pump it up about every 2 weeks. The light comes on in the car re tyres at about 25. Have taken the tyre for inspection but they couldnt find anything wrong.

Hope this is of help

Jt

You will have a leaky valve...

As for OP, 32psi is what they say but there is nothing to stop you putting in 34psi if it feels better for you. Just watch out for how the tyres wear.
