I was working in London yesterday and as the weather was so good, I took my camera along as I had I knew I'd have a few spare minutes - warm and blue sky..... wonderful :D

Back in the hunt, gave the camera a miss last year, but now looking for one asap, would any one be looking to sell there own and upgrade?

Sorry, not at present. No new ones from Canon that I can get away with!! :whistle: :rtfm: :telloff:

Prices of lenses may be about to rise too as the two major players in the manufacture of optical glass, Hoya and O'Hara, in Japan cannot keep their kilns going due to the power issues caused by their awful earthquake. None of the 'major' camera players will move production to alternative sites in China because the product quality from those factories just isn't up to it.

Back order lists are steadily increasing. :o

18 - 200 mm is not a lens I would buy though.

The range it covers is too great so it is not great at either end.

I would go for a 14 - 22 (expensive) real wide angle, or at least a 18-55, and a 70-210 or so.

Right back looking then, the one i saw was a bit over priced anyway.

When I was in SA recently I was chatting with a woman who was using the Sigma 18-200mm, and it was actually surprisingly sharp.
