E10
E10
I have a shell card and according to their email they are going E10 on 01/09/21 except for vpower which will remain E5. They direct you to the government website which tells me all BMW engines no matter when built are compatible with E10. You should though still follow the manufacturers recommendation on octane rating.

The engines ought to be fine given this fuel has been available throughout large parts of the world for years, even the EU mandated it from 2011 so why the UK has been so slow in adopting it I don’t get? MPG will likely get worse though
E85 might be a bit of an issue though. I can’t imagine the BMW V8 or higher performance petrol models being very happy with that. Not that we’ll ever get it here given ICE power is heading for the graveyard.
If you have a petrol lawnmower/garden machinery then check what that needs. My Honda is fine on E10 despite being 22 years old, but many will need E5. Just imagine how fast they’ll go on Super Unlesded…..
