space saver question

Post by ronmr2 » Wed Sep 09, 2015 8:58 pm

hi all

just discovered that the car I bought with the lovely aftermarket 22" rims have standard tyres fitted. With third row seating there is no spare , jack etc. Can anyone offer any advice on what size of space saver to get. I am going to have to carry it in the boot. I'm really thrilled about it ....

You can buy the proper wheel from BMW.  There's a kit available....it's just you can't put it under the floor.

The spare is optional even on the 5-seater.  With RFTs BMW think you'll have no use for it.  It isn't a 22" either...but then only the aftermarket wheels are.  It's thinner and 50mph/80kph limited.

Just buy the kit from BMW - I wouldn't trust the repair kits personally

This is what you get :Image
2014 BMW X6M (the toy)
2004 Porsche 911 (996) turbo (the garage queen)
2015 VW Touran (the daily)
