E53 X5 Accelera Iota Tyres - any good??
I had a full set of Accelera Iotas put on my staggered 20"s a few months ago. No problems at all. Fitted cost £470 so good price too.
I've always had Accelera tyres where I could as they are pretty good in my opinion.

As an add on to this thread I've recently had the thermostat changed in my V8. Two days ago the waterpump front seal gave up and the radiator had been leaking slightly at the bottom right anyway. Just had it all done £660..

Eventually the anti roll bar links showed up so I chucked them on (well one of them), put the wheels back on and finished for the time being. Cleared the code for the camshaft but I'll check again in a day or so to see if it's sorted.

Latest. Drive side caliper was seized or sticking. Could that be the MPG problem? Who knows. I had a Bigg Red refurb kit in the garage so I swapped out the piston and seals so that's as new again. I was on standby to order a new caliper as I couldn't get the bleed nipple undone and I thought it ...

Ok so two driveshafts in. A bit tricky but sort of ok. Driver side I disconnected the thrust arm at the front so the suspension leg would have enough room to be pulled out of the way to get the longer shaft out.

Good news. Mpg is back up to average of 18.5 which is similar to what it was.

I've just put a new air filter in and I'm ashamed to say that the old one was almost black and dusty. I haven't changed it in years.. Halfords £6 so not bad. Hopefully the MPG will improve.

I don't know. Last two times I've had tyres nothing has changed.
I even had a binding brake caliper last year which didn't affect MPG either.
Something is not right. I can feel it if you know what I mean.
I drove it today with live data stream on my diagnostic and as far as I could see everything ...

My 01 4.4 since Xmas ish has had the mpg drop from 19 average for the last 10 years to 14-15 average on the same regular journeys. I’ve just replaced the engine thermostat as it was constantly running too cold which I thought was the problem but it’s still the same. It’s also had new spark plugs and ...

Well well. I had the four tyres fitted today. Total was £470. I cannot believe how it’s changed how the car drives. The steering is lighter, it drives in a straight line (used to pull to the left) , runs quieter and actually feels like it’s rolling whereas it felt like it was sort of dragging or ...
